Managing hourly rates in Budgets
Two hourly rates appear in the monitoring of labour budgets:
The effective hourly rate: this is calculated on the basis of each employee's personalised hourly rate.
The average hourly rate: a rate entered manually, applied to all staff and which takes precedence over the effective hourly rate.

Where to manage hourly rates?
In order to display an effective hourly rate in the budgets, the first step is to go to "Administration" (1) then "Personnel" (2).
Then click on the person of your choice in the list.
Once you are in the person's "Personnel" file, stay in the "Information" tab (1) and enter the gross hourly wage of your choice and the employer's contributions in the corresponding sections (2).
You then have two options :
- Either you want to make retroactive changes to the timings so that they appear on the actual budget
- Or you have made these changes so that they appear on future clockings.
The new gross hourly wage appears on clock-ins from previous months
In this situation, you need to click on the "Retroactive modification of clocking-in fees" button at the bottom of your "Personnel" page.
A pop-up window will open, allowing you to indicate the date on which the modification should be taken into account (1). Depending on the changes you have made, you will need to tick the "Average hourly cost" or "Employer charges" box, or even both (2). Then click on "Validate" (3).
The new gross hourly wage will appear on the new clockings that will be made.
In this case, before checking the budgets to see if the new hourly rate has been taken into account, remember to clock in the staff in question, otherwise you won't see any changes!
If you need help with clocking in staff, please refer to the relevant article in the Help Centre.
Once you have clocked in your staff or made your retroactive changes, simply go back to "Admin" (1) and then "Labour budget monitoring" (2).
Then choose the site of your choice (1) and click on "More details" (2).
Then click on "Detailed budget tracking".
In the top left-hand corner of your screen you will see the average effective hourly rate for your staff (1).
Note :
Pay close attention to the period you are in (2). If you are in a period where no clock-ins have been made, the amount will be zero even if you have filled in the gross hourly wage in the "Personnel" form.
At the top of your screen, you'll also find the average hourly rate.
If you enter an amount in this box, this rate will take precedence over the actual average hourly rate, regardless of the clockings made. This rate will be applied to all staff, across all their clockings.
Once you have changed the amount (1), a pop-up window will open asking you if you are sure of your choice (2). If you are, click on "Confirm change" (3).
Once the change has been taken into account, you can see that the effective rate has also changed over the same period, since it is the average rate that takes precedence and is used as a reference.
