Managing currency and exchange rates at basket level
If you have added an item in dollars, for example, when your reference currency is euros, you will see the exchange rate specified, which cannot be changed, on the right-hand side of your screen.
In this box, you will also see the total amount of your order in your reference currency and then in the currency used.
You can, however, update the exchange rate if necessary. To do this, simply click on the corresponding button.
At orders level
In the Receive tab, you can modify an order you have placed. In particular, you'll see a "change exchange rates" button. Click on this button.
Having imposed exchange rates on your teams, you can then see that the only option they have is to update them, they don't have the option of making any changes themselves manually.
Invoices
When you enter your invoice, you will see that you do not have a choice of exchange rates. They are nevertheless specified so that you have them in mind.
If you click on "modify invoice", however, you will be able to update the exchange rate.
Budgets
Budgets are expressed in the reference currency of the company involved in the project. Conversions are made using the exchange rate set.
Note :
On the other hand, if there is no known exchange rate, the amount of the order is not counted in the budget. An "i" pictogram will display the number of orders that are not counted in the budget. If you click on the number in question, you will be redirected to the list of orders concerned.
Creating catalogues or framework contracts
In terms of settings, if you have ticked the box "only currencies with an exchange rate can be used" (1), then you will only see the currencies you imported (2) when creating a catalogue or framework contract.
